MAY / JUNE NEWSLETTER 2010

1) Final tuition is due. All money must be paid in full by May 15,2010 . If bills are not paid up in full, STUDENT WILL NOT DANCE. This will be enforced this year. Cash only for all payments after May 15th. NO CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED .

2) Tickets have already gone on sale, so if you did not get yours yet, please don’t wait too long. Seating is reserved and you will end up in the back. Tickets are $22.00 each, and anyone over the age of 2 needs a ticket. Checks will be accepted until May 15h, after that date it will be cash only. Do not buy tickets for any student performing in the recital. They will not be allowed out of the dressing area. NO EXCEPTIONS- DO NOT ASK!!!

3) There will be T shirts available this year and they will be sold at the recital.

4) REHEARSAL: The rehearsal for the RECITAL will be at the Riverhead High School on Friday June 4 , for most of the students. You need to read the rehearsal schedule very carefully. NO COSTUMES at the rehearsal unless otherwise stated. Students should wear dance clothes and bring appropriate shoes. The scheduling is very tight. Please make every effort to be on time.

5)RECITAL: June 5,2010 Check office door for the class assignments if you have not already done so. Older students should be dropped off at the stage door of the Riverhead High School 1 hour before the show is scheduled to start. All Tiny Tots should be brought backstage 15 minutes before, dressed in their costumes with their dance shoes on. THE SHOWS START ON TIME! There will be chaperones with the children at all times. NO PARENTS of performing children will be allowed backstage while the show is in progress unless other arrangements were made by me in advance. We still need volunteers for all the shows, especially the evening show. Please sign up at the desk.

• MAKEUP: A little makeup on all the children would be nice. On older students, foundation is a must. Performing Groups: full makeup is mandatory.
• SHOES: All flat tap shoes must have plain beige elastic. (NO tap ties or strings) All shoes cleaned and polished.
• JEWELRY: NONE Except stud earrings. NO riendship,string,gold,neckaces,watches. Leave all I-Pods, cell phones, Game Boys, PS2,Calculators , etc. at home. We had items stolen from the dressing areas in previous years, and I will not be responsible for replacing these items. LEAVE THEM AT HOME !
• COSTUMES: All pieces of your costumes are needed. LABEL EVERYTHING WITH YOUR NAME IN AN INCONSPICUOUS PLACE. This includes shoes ,hats, gloves etc. Bring an extra pair of tights if you can. Girls: NO Panties .
• EVERYONE, if you have to leave the dressing area for any reason, you must wear a Tee shirt or jacket over your costumes. Bring a laundry basket to the show, after each routine, just toss your costumes into the basket!

5) LAST DAY OF CLASS of regular class is June 26th . There is no class Monday, May 31st.

6) SUMMER SCHOOL: Summer program registration is Saturday’s June 12-19-26 from 1-3pm and Saturdays July 3-10 also from 1-3 pm. . Summer classes will begin July 12. Any student interested in trying out for one or all of our Competition classes must take class over the summer in order to be considered. If you are already a member of the group , you must still take class over the summer in order to remain a member . We will be taking registration for all students interested in trying out for our performing groups and those who want to try something new or get a head start on next year on . We are looking for students from Junior 3 level and up to try out for our competition groups. If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to ask me.

7) REHEARSAL SCHEDULE FOR THE RECITAL AT THE RIVERHEAD HIGH SCHOOL ON FRIDAY , JUNE 4th will be handed out at a later date.

8) For the month of May all Junior 3's should come to both classes, Tuesday from 6:30-7:30 and Fridays from 5:00-6:00 pm until the recital.
All Senior Pros and Intermediate Pros should come to each others classes on Tuesday and Wednesday May 11 and May 25th
